International Women's Day

What is International Women's Day?

When I first ask my friend about the purpose of celebrating IWD, it lead us no where near to the answer except for a few debates on gender rights and sexism. Hahaha~ We didn't even bother googling or checking out the answer from IWD official website. Ignoring the real purpose of the whole celebration, I guess it was an appreciation day for women's achievements around the world. And it seems I was half right...hehe

"International Women's Day, falls on 8 March, is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievement of women from the past, present and future."

UCSI didn't miss the chance on celebrating this global event. The celebration of IWD was a memorable and exciting one, by having incredible band performances, seductive dance performances, magic performances and many more. The expected number of people who turned up on that night was suppose to be 100, but it manage to reach about a huge number of 300 people altogether.

It was certainly an exhausted experience to take around 500 pictures through the event. Unfortunately these are the few best pictures I manage to saved. Hope you enjoy looking at them.
